African-American poetry and the spoken word will guide us into dialogues on race and the essential journey from otherness to togetherness. Join us as we strive to experience God’s love as His beloved, create a safe environment for people to understand otherness through poetry and facilitate overt conversations around whiteness, blackness and otherness amidst Imago Dei members and others in our community.
Tuesdays, Feb. 12th, 19th and 26th from 7-9pm in Imago Dei Loft of the Ankeny Building.
Led by: Pastor Michelle Jones

Our country is facing an identity crisis: Who are we, what do we stand for and what is our hope for the future? As Christians we face an even deeper question: Who are we and who are the true people of God? Let’s see how that answer unfolds in the Gospel story as told by Luke. (This continues our study from the fall quarter. Newcomers are welcome.)
Tuesdays at 7pm, hosted in NW Portland (contact leaders for details). Begins Feb. 12th and continues for 8 weeks.

We all want connection, but most of us are just waiting to be invited. What if you were the one to send the invite? If you’ve ever thought about starting a group to connect with others, like a book club, dinner club or any idea swirling in your mind that you want to explore further, it can feel overwhelming to know where to begin. Sometimes all it takes is a little encouragement from women who’ve been there to get rolling. Join us as we explore fun ways to connect and make plans to put these ideas into action. This can take courage, but in our experience it’s well worth the risk!
Sunday, Feb. 17th, Sunday, Feb. 24th and Sunday, Mar. 3rd at 9am in the Ankeny building.
What if God isn’t who you think He is and neither are you? This is the intriguing subtitle for the book, The Cure, that will serve as the focus of our study at ReImagine. Reminiscent of some of C. S. Lewis’ work, The Cure takes the reader into the heart of God’s good news, inviting us into a deeper trust and understanding of grace. Starting with a communal brunch each week, ReImagine seeks to provide a place of connection at Imago Dei, meaningful fellowship, significant study each Sunday morning.
Sundays at 10:30am in room 204 of the Ankeny Building.
