Eat Pray Walk - Eastside

You’re invited to discover what God is doing in our Eastside neighborhoods!  How?  By praying while walking the streets! Come learn to pray, listen to God’s Spirit, and be instruments of his light and love to our neighbors.  We will conclude the prayer walk with a meal in the neighborhood to get to know local business owners. The group will meet on a Saturday, once a month.  Our first walk will be September 23rd, 10:30 am. For further info, please contact Joanna Montesino: hisdelight3@gmail.com.

Men on A Mission

We are the Men’s Ministry of Eastside Gathering. We exist to develop community together as men, to grow with God and each other in the Bible. We strive to be biblically-grounded men of faith who:

  • Lead their families in worship
  • Explore the Word of God in study
  • Reach out to men in the community with the Gospel
  • Help hold other men accountable to God’s standards

If you would like to be apart of this ministry please contact Kevin Baker at Kevnbkr@gmail.com.

Hiking - Reveal Eastside

Come join us as we build friendships and get to know the Lord more while exploring what He’s put all around us. If you can walk and talk at the same time, you’ve got what it takes to hike. For more information or to sign up for a hike, email RevealEast@idcpdx.com, or connect with our Facebook group by searching “Reveal Eastside” and looking under the Groups tab.

Running - IDC Runners

Join the IDC Runners—all runners and speeds welcome! We pray for our city, then spend time on the Springwater Trail running through parts of our neighborhood where change may seem impossible—but seeking Jesus in whom all things are possible! Two meetup times are available: Wednesday at 6:00am or Sunday at 6:00pm. Contact Meg DuMez at rakasab@gmail.com for more info and to sign up.

Church Lady Happy Hour

A gathering of women who meet – rain or shine! – at a different public establishment in Portland each Thursday evening to eat, drink, and share our hearts and lives.  While we don’t have a structured study, we do encompass a diverse range of ages and opinions and thoroughly enjoy spending the evening together. This is an ongoing group. Thursdays at 5:00pm. For more info, visit our Facebook page or email 3394momo@gmail.com.

Praying for Justice

We are a group of people working toward justice issues in our Eastside neighborhoods, who want to intentionally create space to bring our burdens before God. Working on tough issues, and walking with vulnerable people, can be heavy on our hearts—this is a space to bring our burdens before God together. We use the “Common Book of Prayer for Ordinary Radicals.” Tuesday nights from 7pm-9pm. Contact Danielle Mayfield for more info: danielle.l.mayfield@gmail.com

Gospel Choir

Common Table

We are a young adult community in East Portland looking to build relationships with each other as we walk in faith, exploring what that means and how we can engage in our community. We meet Thursday nights at local bars throughout the city, and sometimes do a potluck dinner or do something fun. E-mail Heidi Ambrose heidieambrose@icloud.com with your phone number to get more info or join us.
