1400 SE Ankeny St
In-person - 9am & 11am
Online - Available on-demand beginning Sundays at 4am
On Sundays we gather to celebrate God and His story. We worship Jesus as a united people, explore and apply the Scriptures, offer songs to God and share the Lord’s Supper.
Imago Dei Central City has three ways to participate in Sunday services. You can gather in-person with us at 9am or 11am, or participate online.
We will be following the laws and guidelines set by the State of Oregon to prevent the spread of COVID-19 at all in-person gatherings. Registration is no longer required to attend at our Central City Campus. Please see our FAQ below if you have more questions.
We have also made changes to our 9am and 11am services:
As the State of Oregon has reopened its doors, Imago Dei Central City is doing so as well. Starting Sunday, July 11th; you will have the option to remove your mask during the service. If you are feeling ill, please stay home as a form of caring for our community and watch our online service on youtube. Children will also be able to remove their mask during the service.
We acknowledge that everyone who wants to come to our services may not be ready to remove their mask in a larger group of people. If you do not feel comfortable removing your mask, you are more than welcome to wear it during our service. There will be no judgement as we are all at different places with our comfort and needs as we continue to transition to fewer restrictions throughout Multnomah County.
We understand that some of us have been ready for a full return to church while for others it feels too soon. As a community, Imago Dei values that we have families, single folks, and everyone in-between with unique lives and needs. If you or someone in your family are unable to get vaccinated for health reasons or are a part of a vulnerable population, we see you. We want to hear from you. Please reach out to Pastor Alex at email@example.com so that he can talk through your concerns and see if there’s a better way that Imago can support you and your family during this transition in our church and our community.
You can watch our online services on-demand via our YouTube channel. Each week’s service will become available on Sunday at 4am.
In an effort to provide the best online experience possible and protect the health of our preaching and worship staff, our online services are currently prerecorded.
Is registration continuing for Central City Services?
Online registration for Central City Sunday Services is no longer required to attend. If you decide to come to church on Sunday morning, you and your family will be able to worship with us. Because of the size of our sanctuary, we will have the physical space to socially distance under these new guidelines while not exceeding our new capacity limits.
Will childcare be available at in-person services?
At this time, childcare will not be provided. However, children are encouraged to attend services with their families. We will be making every effort to create an environment in which kids are welcomed and encouraged to participate in our worship. Imago Dei Kids will also continue to provide services on video designed specifically for kids and families to enjoy from home.
Our goal is to have childcare available as soon as Imago Dei Kids has enough volunteers to meet the needs of our children and families on Sundays. If you feel called to serve in this area, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to get connected and sign up with our team.
What precautions will Imago Dei be taking to prevent the spread of COVID-19?
To protect our community, Imago Dei will be following the laws and guidelines set by the State of Oregon, including:
Will I need to bring my vaccination record to remove my face covering?
At this time, Imago Dei Central City will be using the honor system related to vaccination status. If you are opting to not wear your face covering, we are trusting that you have waited 2 weeks after your last dose of COVID-19 vaccine and are fully protected from the virus. Please continue to be mindful of our community by social distancing and respecting each person’s choice to best protect themselves and their loved ones.
Will children also be able to remove their face covering?
At this time, children and teens will have the option to remove their mask during our service.
